Two of Britain’s most successful sportspeople come together for the first time at AdWeek London.
Golden girl of cycling Victoria Pendleton CBE and cricket legend Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff MBE have both transcended their sport and sit firmly in the public consciousness as two of our greatest winners.
They will discuss whether they believe it came from 'the sweat or the blood’: were these exceptional athletes born winners or was it their drive and commitment to be the best that made them world beaters?
Victoria is one of Britain’s highest profile sportswomen, a double Olympic Gold medallist (Beijing 2008 & London 2012) and 9 x World Champion, who has inspired the boom in women cycling in Britain.
Freddie Flintoff is an international Cricket hero. Part of the DOUBLE winning Ashes team in 2005 & 2009; he received numerous accolades throughout his cricket career including BBC Sports Personality of the Year. Not content with just the one sporting profession, he went on to compete and win his first professional licensed boxing match in 2012. Now an established broadcaster Freddie continues to be one of Britain’s most loved and cherished heroes.
Victoria and Freddie will discuss their success and whether they believe it came from 'the sweat or the blood’: were these exceptional athletes born winners or was it their drive and commitment to be the best that made them world beaters?
