Christian May is Editor of City A.M., London's influential daily business newspaper with a readership of 250,000 professionals. His own thoughts can be found in The City View column and the Editor’s Notes page.
He was appointed to the editor’s role in June 2015 in a move that broke with newspaper tradition as Christian’s background is in PR. This makes him uniquely suited to discuss the relationship between business coverage and the PR agenda. Prior to joining City A.M. he was Head of Communications and Campaigns at the Institute of Directors, UK’s largest organisation for business leaders. He was responsible for the IoD’s public profile, campaigns and media activity, and took a leading role in shaping policy on areas including EU reform, immigration, infrastructure, innovation and tax reform.
He holds a degree in Politics from the University of Exeter and a Master’s degree in Journalism from London’s City University.
