Catherine Newman was appointed Chief Marketing Officer, Times Newspapers Ltd (TNL), in November 2016, having previously worked as the Marketing and Sales Director for The Times and The Sunday Times. In her current role, Catherine is responsible for growing and marketing The Times and The Sunday Times, across print, online and mobile.
Before joining TNL, she was Global Brand and B2B Marketing Director at the Financial Times, where she was responsible for the overall brand management, commercial marketing and financial publishing customer revenues . During her time with The FT, Catherine successfully re-positioned the Financial Times brand, and launched the new FT in its 125th year, implementing the most successful integrated marketing strategy in its history.
Catherine began her career working as a Direct Marketing Executive at Associated Newspapers then, after 2 years at USA Today International, she joined the FT in 2002 as UK and Ireland Retail Manager.
