Sheila Marcelo

Sheila founded Care.com in 2006 and today, the Company is the largest online care destination in the world with 7 million members in more than 15 countries. Care.com allows families to connect with millions of caregivers to manage the lifecycle of care challenges families face: childcare, including special needs, senior care, pet care, housekeeping, tutoring, and more. The Company also offers its suite of services as an employee benefit to Fortune 500 companies, higher education institutions, technology and service companies, and a variety of industries.

Throughout 2012, Care.com expanded it geographic reach and scope of services. Geographically, the Company launched in the UK (April) and Canada (July), followed by the acquisition of Berlin-based Besser Betreut, the largest online care portal in Europe (July). Service expansions came through the acquisitions of Breedlove & Associates, the nation’s largest provider of comprehensive household payroll services (August), and Parents in a Pinch, a recognized leader in providing in-home back-up childcare and adult care for corporations and families across the United States (December). Care.com is the only online care destination offering this range of services to its members.
