Kim Kadlec

Kimberly Kadlec heads Johnson & Johnson’s Global Marketing Group, where she leads the company’s marketing communications practice, including agency management and media planning and buying.
A longtime champion of data, metrics, and engagement, Kim spearheaded J&J’s foray into digital media, especially in its ad-marketing operations and practices. As such, she stunned the U.S. television upfront market in 2006 by pulling most of J&J’s budget out of the process and re-allocating those media dollars to what was a nascent digital-media market.
Since joining J&J as Chief Media Officer in 2005, Kim’s impact on J&J’s culture and operations has been significant. In 2009, Kim established the knowledge-sharing web platform at J&J known as Insights Out.
For her leadership role during J&J’s acquisition of Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, J&J honored her with a Standards of Leadership award and has since nominated her to participate in its Chairman's Dialogue a small group of high potential executives that work with the Chairman to address company and industry issues.
A vocal and active advocate for mentoring, Kim leads J&J's participation in the Fortune/U.S. State Department Program that matches young entrepreneurial women from emerging markets with female leaders in the US.
A respected industry thought leader, Kim is frequently tapped to speak on the topic of the future of advertising, marketing and consumer engagement. Recently, she introduced the new “4Ps of Marketing” for the digital age: Purpose, Presence, Proximity and Partnership, replacing the classic 4Ps—price, product, place and promotion—that have formed the foundation of marketing strategies since the 1960s.
Kim began her advertising career at Backer & Spielvogel as a Media Planner in 1985. She has broad consumer category experience, having worked on accounts that include Hyundai, Miller Brewing, Coca-Cola, Verizon, and Campbell’s Soup. Prior to joining J&J in 2005 Kim launched Branded Entertainment Division at NBC Universal.

She sits on the Board of the Farmer School of Business, Miami University, Oxford OH, and DoSomething.org.

In 2013, the Huffington Post named Kim one of the Top 20 Most Social Marketing Leaders in the Fortune 250.
A mother of three, she lives with her husband in the New York area.
