Krista Gibson serves as Chief Marketing Officer for Chili’s® Grill & Bar. In this role, she oversees consumer insights, guest relations, corporate communications, public relations, global culinary innovation and global marketing.
Krista began her career with Brinker International in 1997 as Vice President of Marketing for On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina®. Shortly thereafter, she was given the additional responsibility for the brand’s food and beverage innovation. In 2004,
Krista joined the Chili’s leadership team overseeing the domestic marketing and culinary functions and was subsequently promoted to Senior Vice President of Brand Strategy. She was appointed to the Brinker leadership team and assumed her current responsibilities in 2013. In March 2014, Krista was named Chief Marketing Officer.
Prior to working for Brinker, she was employed by Darden Restaurant’s Red Lobster division where she held multiple marketing roles with increasing responsibility during her eight-year tenure. Between degrees, Krista began her career in retail operations for Robinson’s Department Store in Florida.
Alongside other professional commitments, Krista is a member of the Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF) and Executive Women’s Roundtable (EWR). She also sits on the executive advisory board for the University of Florida Center for Retailing Education and Research. Krista holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s of business administration from the University of Florida.
Krista and her husband, Sterling, have two sons and reside in Allen, Texas. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, traveling to new places and watching her sons, Justin and Zach, competitively swim.
