KJ’s story of why she came into advertising begins with impressionable beginnings – watching ET with her Mom at 8 years old and acutely understanding the powerful suggestion that if an alien loved those buttery bites of Reese’s Pieces, she should too. Little has changed from the observant kid who understood then the power of effective branding and culture, to becoming the Chief Strategy Officer who leads Zambezi’s strategy and analytics team today. Going "big" into the culture is KJ’s forte; previously the Cultural Intelligence Officer at mcgarrybowen, KJ isn’t the kind of CSO who reads and researches trends, she’s in them experiencing and exploring. Her magic power is looking for inspiration in unexpected places, whether she’s chasing Caribbean Carnival around the world, or learning from street wear designers how to re-frame a luxury car.
