Prior to joining J. Walter Thompson in 2016, Spence served as Crispin Porter + Bogusky’s first ever Global Managing Director as well as Global Account Director at Wieden + Kennedy, where he led Nike’s long-standing “Just Do It” campaign and the winning pitch for Coca-Cola’s 2014 FIFA World Cup sponsorship.
Before the agency world, Spence was Vice President, Marketing Communications at Virgin America, hired as a founding member to build the airline’s brand strategies from the ground up. Spence also spent six years at ESPN, serving as Vice President, Advertising and Promotion and overseeing the company’s agency business—including campaigns for “This is SportsCenter” and ESPN College Gameday—and ESPN’s in-house promotion and production teams.
