Sami Thessman

Sami Thessman is passionate about anything related to new technology, data, innovation and the art of storytelling. He believes these combined elements are the ultimate path toward changing businesses and brands. He has been a cofounder of several start-ups and this culture is deeply rooted in his thinking. 

As chief creative officer for Wunderman New York, he leads accounts including United Airlines, Coca-Cola, E*TRADE, Dannon and Isle of Capri, partnering with Wunderman New York President Jamie Gallo and working closely with global CCO Lincoln Bjorkman.

Formerly, Sami was global executive creative director for Infiniti, as well as executive creative director for TBWA’s Digital Arts Network, leading global brands including Nissan, McDonald's, Adidas, Mastercard, Standard Chartered Bank and AIA.

Before that, Sami was executive creative director of TBWA​Helsinki, one of the most innovative and creative offices within the TBWA network. The Gunn Report named TBWA​Helsinki among the top 10 digital agencies in the world in 2013.

Sami’s work has been awarded at a number of prestigious creative awards shows, including Cannes Lions, the Golden Hammers, FWA and the Effie Awards. Although the most prestigious awards for him are his two young daughters and Adidas, his white shepherd.
