Liz Mascolo is the Business Unit Director of Cheerios, one of General Mills’ oldest and most well-loved brands. Cheerios was launched in 1941 as America’s first ready-to-eat cereal and remains the largest brand in the cereal category today.
Mascolo joined General Mills in 2003 in the Convenience & Foodservice Division. She held numerous marketing leadership roles in the Snacks, Meals & Yogurt Divisions, in addition to spending 7 years building its cereal brands.
Mascolo’s most recent assignment was in Lausanne, Switzerland as Global Marketing Director for Cereal Partners Worldwide, the General Mills joint venture with Nestle. In this role, she managed the strategy and communication development for 10 Global cereal brands across 130 markets. Mascolo returned to the US in July 2017 and was appointed to her current role.
