Rich Phelan is a media professional with 20+ years of retail experience driving sales, ROI and building relationships for Fortune 500 companies. He currently serves as Essence's EVP, Client Partner where he leads the Target account, managing the retail giant's media strategy, planning and investment. Prior to joining Essence, he served as Managing Director of OMD's retail practice.
Rich's diverse background includes strategic planning, analytics and content development. Throughout his career, he has maintained a successful track record of building and leading media teams across both the in-house teams of major retailers (Macy's, Walmart, TJX) and within agency environments (MediaVest, Mindshare, Universal McCann).
