After successfully hosting the world’s largest gathering of advertising and marketing industry leaders in New York, Europe, Asia and soon Havana, Cuba, Advertising Week today announced its fifth global market – Mexico City for Advertising Week Latin America. The inaugural edition will take place in the winter of 2017.
Stillwell Partners and Mexico City-based Grupo Expansión have been working on the launch since 2014, and have chosen the Polanco district in the heart of Mexico City as the epicenter of the event. Advertising Week Latin America will be a hybrid of inspiring thought leadership seminars and workshops by day, and engaging events by night. The week will draw from the broader Latin American cultural communities from throughout Mexico, Central America, South America and beyond, focusing on the key industry trends helping to shape today’s global industry.
Stillwell Partners, the organizers of Advertising Week, had earlier announced Advertising Week: Cuba x Creativity, an international edition launching November 28th in conjunction with Fast Company. Mexico City will soon join Havana, London and Tokyo as international host cities for a week of industry insight, bringing the brightest minds in advertising, marketing, creative, media and tech industries together from across the world.
The 18th global edition of Advertising Week returns to New York City from September 26th – 30th. Following Cuba x Creativity in November, Advertising Week Europe returns to London for the 5th anniversary edition from March 20th – 24th, and Advertising Week Asia returns to Tokyo from May 29th – June 2nd.
Since its creation in 2004, Advertising Week has drawn more than 2.5 million participants from around the world for a week of programming that seeks to combine education, engagement, enlightenment and entertainment with its global mission to inspire people to join the craft.
