Alex Kaminsky

Alex leads YP’s consumer and brand marketing strategies including oversight of all advertising and media, sponsorships, creative services, product marketing, editorial, and consumer analytics and insights.

Alex joined YP in January 2013 to reimagine the voice of the 130-year-old Yellow Pages brand, bringing with him over 20 years of experience in building world-class brands, high-profit businesses, and forward-thinking teams. He orchestrated the re-brand efforts that saw the transformation of YellowPages.com to YP in late 2013 and spearheaded an exciting advertising campaign in May 2014 leveraging the new “YP can do that” strategy.

Prior to YP, Alex founded and launched IdeasDefine (formerly, CHANGE), a boutique agency focused on brand strategy, content development, integrated media solutions, branded entertainment, social media, and start-up planning. In this consulting role, Alex helped The Coca-Cola Company establish influential corporate partnerships and business relationships; Johnson & Johnson set new standards around marketing innovation; Google launch the Android platform; The Blue Man Group extend its reach into new entertainment properties; and ScoreMobile position itself within the US consumer app marketplace.

Earlier in his career, Alex held positions at TBS, ESPN, MindSpring, and The Weather Channel. He has also been recognized in publications like Fast Company Magazine and Brandweek for his marketing leadership and brand-building capabilities.

Alex holds a BA degree in Economics and History from Clark University and an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. Alex currently resides in Atlanta with his wife and two kids.
