Peter Blacker

Peter Blacker is Executive Vice President of Digital Media & Emerging Businesses for NBCUniversal’s Hispanic Group. Blacker initiated and leads the division’s mission to amplify and monetize content, formats and talent from TELEMUNDO and NBC UNIVERSO across Digital, Mobile and Social platforms. Additionally he is responsible for the creation, development, distribution and monetization of new content for use on digital, linear and on demand systems. He oversees the company’s partnerships with external digital, social and mobile companies, as well as the launch and growth of NBCU Hispanic’s Plus reaching over 25MM monthly unique visitors.

Blacker developed and manages the company’s multiplatform, multicultural movie studio, FLUENCY. These productions have premiered on SyFy, Oxygen, TELEMUNDO and AMC Theaters in the U.S. with additional global distribution.

Formerly Senior Vice President of Digital Media for TELEMUNDO, Blacker joined TELEMUNDO in 2005 and led the company into the digital media space. He was responsible for developing the network’s partnerships with MSN, Yahoo, YouTube, Televisa and iTunes on the launch of iTunes Latino. He also launched the company’s live streaming, VOD, EST and bilingual digital products.

With more than 15 years of digital experience, Blacker was previously Vice President, Multicultural & International for AOL Media Networks. There he created AOL’s first interactive marketing strategy for the U.S. multicultural market and led pioneering market research efforts such as the AOL Roper Starch Latino CyberStudy and AOL Urban Insights Series.

He holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
