Lina Shields

Lina is the Head of Media and Social Media at Eli Lilly and Company and leads all Consumer Marketing for Lilly’s Diabetes Business Unit. In her current role at Lilly, she is responsible for leading Consumer Marketing Teams for the Diabetes Portfolio of products and to manage the Media investment across Business Units in the US Market. Lina also currently leads the transformation of Consumer Marketing and Media at Lilly, pushing for insight-based, data-driven marketing and new ways to forge connections through data, creativity and media with the patients that she is privileged to serve. Lina also heads up the Multicultural Marketing Center of Excellence at Lilly to expand the Consumer Marketing capability to be culturally relevant and meaningful across the US Market.

Prior to her current role, Lina has held various US and Global roles, including serving as Regional Brand Leader for Cialis responsible for Australia, Canada and Europe and launching multiple successful DTC campaigns in various therapeutic areas.

Born and raised in Italy, Lina is a firm believer in returning the opportunities that have been granted to her throughout her career in the US and has been passionately mentoring and sponsoring diverse talent in and outside of Lilly.
